You could say that David Kramer was born to be an accountant! His father, Philip Kramer, is a co-founder of Robin Kramer & Green, LLP, (originally Robin Kramer & Company) and David has followed in his footsteps.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude as a President's Scholar from Temple University, David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1979. He continued on at Temple Law School, where he attended classes at night, while working at Robin Kramer & Company during the day.
When David graduated from law school in 1983, he joined Coopers & Lybrand, which would eventually become PricewaterhouseCoopers. He began as a tax associate and worked his way up to tax supervisor. While there, he provided tax planning services for Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions. He left in 1987 for a brief stint as a tax supervisor at Goldenberg Rosenthal, and then returned to Robin Kramer & Company, where he now directs the firm's Tax Services Department.
David assists entrepreneurial-owned companies with federal and state income tax planning and estate planning, and consults on the acquisition and disposition of businesses, financing and business succession planning. His dual specialty in accounting and law enables David to represent many of his clients in federal, state and local tax litigation. He also provides litigation support services to law firms and other CPAs.
He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Institute of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs. He is also authorized to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.
His community involvement includes seven years of coaching Little League, and a current position on the board of the Delaware County Medical Society Public Health Fund, an organization that donates to various public health charities in Delaware County.
David and his wife Merle reside in Huntingdon Valley. They have three children and a dog.
